Baby Haul || Mixed Items

Posted by Unknown at 8:26 am 0 comments
Hey everyone!

I decided to take Miley shopping to get some swimming items as we are going swimming for the first time this weekend and the usual random items too. So off we went and here is what we brought...

First we went to Mothercare UK...

I got this pink floral hooded towel and a matching baby tankini set! - Both of these items were half price!
The bottoms of the tankini set are the padded absorbant kind (but we are going to double nappy Miley anyway with the Swim Pants.)
I brought this set of 3 t-shirts as we seem to have loads of jeans and skirts and cardigans but not many tops to go with them. These were just basic tops and were £9.99 but I had a discount voucher for 25% off, so i got them for approx £7.50 :)
If you follow my twitter, you will know Miley is teething like crazy at the moment, so when I walked past these dummy type teethers, I HAD to get them! These were again £4.29 but with the 25% off, only £3.23.
The last thing I picked up from Mothercare was this Baby's first sippy cup. I have been looking for a sippy cup type bottle for a few days, as Miley is trying to hold her bottles now but struggling due to there being no handles. But I saw this and it is a free-flow bottle but it has a really small hole in the spout. But with supervision i'm sure she will be fine :)

Then I went to Boots...

Bickiepegs - Now my mum had been telling me since Miley started teething about these. I looked everywhere for them, even online and couldn't get them anywhere. I walked into Boots and they were there. It does say 6m+ and I won't be giving them to her until then, but as they are so hard to find and Boots didn't have many, I thought I would get them now as the use by date is ages away.

Whilst in Mothercare, a lady told me about these mats and said they always use theirs' and then told me they were cheaper in boots! So i went ahead and got one, it is a padded mat for changing baby/child at swimming. I thought this would be handy as our local swimming facilities aren't the best. It folds out to make a mat and then easily folds back into the bag and it is Non-Slip too. (I will let you all know how useful it was after we go swimming).

Then last but not least, I picked up a few clothes for Miley, they were mostly half price and only basics really.

So thats it for my mini haul. Have you brought anything you particularly loved or was a bargain recently? Have you ever had an experience of the Little Swimmers Hygiene Mat?

What's in my Changing Bag?

Posted by Unknown at 8:12 pm 3 comments
Hey Everyone...
I have seen everyone doing the "what's in my bag" blog posts, but as I very rarely carry a handbag now, I thought I would do a "What's in my changing bag?" blog post instead.

Please bare in mind that my changing bag is very "well used" and is in need of an update, I have my eye on a few different ones. Any suggestions for a new one?

So this is my changing bag, brown and cream (I chose the neutral option so my husband didn't have to carry around a bright pink bag). I found the changing bag set on amazon and it was a bargain. Good quality and very spacious, it does everything I need and it's just been mistreated and is in need of a good clean out.

In the front pocket of the bag I have....

My purse- I very rarely use a handbag so I keep all of my essentials in the change bag. After my River Island Purse broke I decided on the cream/nude studded one from Primark.

My Phone - I have the Iphone 5

Thermometer - Just incase.

Our change bag has two side pockets where we put bottles, be it juice or milk.

The main pocket!

Nappies- Approx 10

Nappy Sacks

Wipes - We use either Johnsons Extra Sensitive or Huggies Pure.

A spare vest; outfit and tights/socks. - for those mucky moments.

Our travel flask

Miley's Red Health Book.

Bibs- Approx 3

A few toys- only a few teethers or a favourite soft toy, generally whatever we grab before heading out the door.

So that's it for my changing bag. What do you keep in your changing bag? What changing bag have you got?

See you soon x

My Top 10 Favourite Bloggers

Posted by Unknown at 7:55 pm 0 comments
Hey Everyone,
I thought I would write a post about my favourite bloggers, I love to read new blogs and some I instantly get addicted to.

So in no particular order...

  1. Dolly Dowsie (Fiona) - I love this blog, Fiona puts in loads of effort and it really shows, I love her posts about her son and how she writes about how she is feeling. When she writes about her feelings, she is honest and you can tell it's exactly how she is feeling which makes it so easy to relate to.
  2. Little Pink Teacup (Clare) - I got hooked on this blog after reading Clare's post "Onesie Nation" I thought it was hilarious and so true. I am all for wearing onesies but I completely agree with Clare that they are PJs not an outfit :)
  3. Tanya Burr (Tanya) - I started watching Tanya's videos on Youtube and got hooked on her make up tutorials. I then saw she had a blog and was instantly clicking on the link to have a read and she definately didn't let me down! It's very professional looking and with really good mixed content!
  4. Sprinkle of Glitter (Louise) - Louise is addictive to watch on Youtube and also to read her blogs, she is so excitable and fun that you can't help but smile when reading her posts. Louise has mixed content so it is kind of a lucky dip of what you are going to get, but the good thing is that they are always great!
  5. Frugally Peachy (Emma) - This blog is a new discovery of mine but I love how unique Emma is. In the blogging world I have often found that everyone writes about the same things and adds their own little twist, but Emma has set herself a HUGE goal in my eyes - not to shop for clothes in a high street store for a year! - It will be great to see how she gets on throughout the year.
  6. Sparkles and Stretchmarks (Hayley) - A new one too! - I love how Hayley has progress pages for pregnancy and monthly updates for baby! A great mummy blog.
  7. Bump to Baby (Alex) Not only a great mummy blogger, but a great blog about love, home and family and the odd Cat post too! :)
  8. Momma of Mojo (Zara) - I love the honesty of this lady and at the moment I am on pregnancy watch, I read her updates and would just like to take this moment to wish her all the luck in the world for your labour! :) x
  9. Bride De Force (Hannah and Fleur) - I got hooked on this blog before I got married back in September 2012, I still have a good catch up on wedding trends to this day.
  10. To Become Mum (Kelly) - This blog has a lovely mixture between beauty and baby! I love Weaning Wednesdays. Totally hooked on reading Kelly's posts.

So they are my top 10, do you know of any blogs I might like? Please leave me a comment letting me know your favourite blogs!

See you soon xx
